The Weaponization of the FBI
As a child, I spent most Sunday evenings watching the television series The FBI with Efrem Zimbalist Jr. I was taught at an early age to respect law enforcement, so Inspector Lewis Erskine and Special Agent Tom Colby naturally had my admiration. Today I find myself asking, what has happened to the FBI? Have they always been corrupt? Had I simply been naïve in my assessment of the prestigious law enforcement agency? I don’t have answers to those questions, but I do believe today’s FBI is rotting from the head down, and I believe many Americans feel the same way.
The FBI used to investigate serial killers, drug smugglers, and kidnappers, but things changed in 2016 when Director James Comey questioned Hillary Clinton about using a private server to conduct State Department business. Rather than securing evidence against Clinton, Comey—through inaction—allowed the former secretary of state to acid wash hundreds of suspicious emails using BleachBit and direct her aides to demolish mobile devices with hammers. Madame Secretary was also allowed to sit for questioning with her aides acting as her attorneys. Everything she did was criminal and makes the Trump classified documents secured at Mar-A-Lago look like child’s play. However, James Comey—after listing all of her crimes in a televised statement—exonerated Hillary Clinton by saying, “Although there is evidence of potential violations regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.” Anyone with a brain knows why Comey didn’t recommend prosecution. It was a Presidential election year, and Comey put his foot on the scale in favor of the Democrat nominee. (Yes, I know Democratic is the adjective the left uses to describe their party, but they are not democratic so I refuse to use it.)
Trump Gets Treated One Way, Biden Another
Contrast that with the way the FBI, under the supervision of Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, handled so-called classified documents being stored by Trump at Mar-A-Lago in a closet secured with a lock and, one could argue, protected by the Secret Service. Dozens of FBI agents, with guns drawn, stormed the former president’s residence in a surprise raid and stayed for hours rifling through his private quarters. They also rummaged through Melania’s closet, Barron’s room, and Trump’s safe. His attorneys were prevented from entering the home and watching the proceedings. All this despite Trump and his attorneys previously cooperating with the National Archives and the Justice Department.
And, we all know the way President Biden was treated after it was discovered that he, too, stored classified documents in unsecured locations. They were found at both of his residences in Delaware, The Penn-Biden Center, and the Boston office of Biden’s attorney. Some of the documents were from his tenure as vice president while some documents date back to Biden’s days as a senator. None of these documents were found under lock and key. In fact, when asked by Peter Doocy what he was thinking by storing classified documents in his garage, Biden actually said, “And by the way, my Corvette is in a locked garage. OK? So, it’s not like they’re sitting out in the street.” I guess that should make everyone breathe a sigh of relief.
Trump’s so-called classified documents (that he declassified before leaving office) were kept under lock and key with the Secret Service nearby, while Biden’s classified documents were scattered in numerous locations including in a pile in his garage, to which his drug-addicted son who brokered financial deals with foreign actors for the Biden family had complete access. Incidentally, Hunter Biden’s business partner, Eric Schwerin, was tasked with moving 1,850 boxes of docs containing the elder Biden’s vice presidential and senatorial archives to the University of Delaware. Schwerin did not have security clearance. Can anyone say “two tiered justice system?”
Parents As Domestic Terrorists
Oh, but that’s not all our Injustice Department under the direction of Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray’s FBI have been up to. Remember when parents at a Loudoun County, Virginia school district attended a board meeting where they demanded answers regarding the teaching of Critical Race Theory and the district’s pro-transgender policies? Yes, the parents got loud and shouted “shame on you” to the board members, but they were simply using their first amendment right to protest. Isn’t that what we’re told when angry young people shut down a conservative speaker on campus? One parent, whose daughter was raped by a trans “girl” in the girls’ bathroom, went to the board meeting seeking answers that might shed light on how his daughter’s assault could have happened. If the father, Scott Smith, thought he would get answers there, he was dead wrong. When the meeting ended, he was confronted by LGBTQ activists, yet it was he, and not the activists, who was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Afterwards, the National School Board Association (NSBA) wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking him to investigate protesting parents as “domestic terrorists.” This letter was written in coordination with senior advisor to the President, Mary Wall. Less than a week after the letter was received at the DOJ, AG Garland issued a memorandum to federal law enforcement agencies to “act consistent with the relief requested in the letter.” Leftist speak: Shut up and do as you’re told, serf!
Predawn Raids of Conservatives & Christians
However, that’s not the entirety of the FBI’s malfeasance. It seems they have been infiltrating groups like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers. This is not unusual for law enforcement, who try to penetrate organizations they deem dangerous to the country. What is unusual is for law enforcement agents or their paid informants to act as coaches encouraging unlawful behavior, like Ray Epps did on January 6th by encouraging MAGA supporters to enter the Capitol building. In addition, according to an article by Julie Kelly, the defense team for a Proud Boy member discovered that “FBI agents doctored internal reports, destroyed evidence, and tipped off prosecutors about defense strategy on the government’s highest-profile January 6 case.” The article goes on to reveal that an FBI supervisor told one agent to destroy 338 items of evidence. Since when does a law enforcement agency destroy evidence? Moreover, In what might be the biggest outrage, the FBI also spied on privileged communications between defense attorneys and their clients, in essence upending the 5th and 6th amendments to the Constitution.
What else has the “Injustice Department” been up to? The number of pre-dawn raids of conservatives and Christians has been stunning. You’ll remember that in 2019, Trump’s ex-adviser Roger Stone was a victim of a pre-dawn raid by the FBI using a show of force generally reserved for violent criminals or gangsters. Stone, 66 at the time, and his elderly, deaf wife were awakened by 29 FBI agents pounding on the door demanding he come outside. Oh, and CNN was alerted by Robert Mueller’s team prior to the heavy-handed theatrics so they could get it all on video to televise to their rabidly leftist, anti-Trump viewers that evening. None of this was remotely necessary. Stone’s attorney said, “A telephone call would have done the job, and he would have appeared. Mr. Stone has nothing to hide.”
Yet another high profile, pre-dawn raid occurred in 2021 to James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas. It seems Project Veritas had obtained Ashley Biden’s diary, which according to O’Keefe had been left behind in a room she had been renting. Project Veritas did not publish or distribute the diary, but the Justice Department thought otherwise and sent the FBI (presumably at the request of the President) to extract “justice” through strong-arm tactics. In O’Keefe’s own words:
“I woke up to a pre-dawn raid. [There was] Banging on my door. I went to my door to answer it, and there were ten FBI agents with a battering ram, white blinding lights; they turned me around, handcuffed me and threw me against the hallway. I was partially clothed in front of my neighbors. They confiscated my phone. They raided my apartment. On my phone were many of my reporters' notes. [I had] A lot of my sources unrelated to this story and a lot of confidential donor information to our news organization."
What is particularly galling about the O’Keefe raid is that he is a journalist. The first amendment is clear on its protections. It reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” Where are all the journalists protesting this treatment of a fellow journalist? Oh, that’s right. They are now a wing of the Democrat party and do their bidding. Since O’Keefe is a conservative, they look the other way.
The FBI & Pro-Life Groups
Yet another tyrannical raid by the FBI took place in September of 2022. Mark Houck, a Catholic and founder of a men’s ministry group, apparently had been involved in an altercation in 2021 with 72-year-old Planned Parenthood escort, Bruce Love. Houck had been praying outside a clinic with his 12-year-old son and other Christians when Love got in his son’s face and began yelling obscenities at him. Houck shoved Love away from his son and the escort fell. The police and DA declined to file charges against Houck, but that did not stop Merrick Garland’s Injustice Department. Using the FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act, the FBI sent two dozen armed agents with guns drawn at dawn to arrest Houck in front of his wife and seven children. As in the Stone case, this was entirely unnecessary. Through his attorney, Houck tried to contact the US Attorney’s Office to discuss the matter but received no response until the day of the raid. The good news is that on January 30th of this year, a federal jury acquitted Mark Houck.

George Soros Funded District Attorneys
It’s hard to discuss this topic without discussing the man. George Soros is a Hungarian-American billionaire businessman and philanthropist. He has donated large sums of his money to his foundation, The Open Society, and to numerous progressive district attorneys with the goal of ending tough policing and mass incarceration. One DA that Soros’ money helped elect is Kim Fox in Chicago who dismissed all charges against the race hoaxer, Jussie Smollet. Another was Chesa Boudin in San Francisco who thankfully was recalled by progressives in the City by the Bay. Yet another crime-averse DA that Soros funds put in office is George Gascon in LA who narrowly escaped his own recall effort. Then, there is Larry Krasner in Philadelphia where crime rates have skyrocketed due to his no-cash bail policies. And, what about Kim Gardener in St. Louis? She was the DA who failed to prosecute a man for armed robbery and soon afterwards the man mowed down a teen volleyball player who had to have both legs amputated. Finally, we have Alvin Bragg in Manhattan about whom I’ll have more to say later.
These district attorneys took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the law, but instead of doing so, they have wreaked havoc in each of the cities where they are supposed to be protecting citizens from crime. Rather than arrest and prosecute criminals, they look the other way, and if a criminal is detained, it’s not for long because these DAs reportedly believe bail is racist. So, often lawbreakers do not have to post bail and are released just hours after their arrests where they can go on to commit more crimes.
According to Tom Anderson, director of the Government Integrity Project at the National Legal and Policy Center in Virginia, “George Soros has quietly orchestrated the dark money political equivalent of ‘shock and awe,’ on local attorney races through the country, shattering records, flipping races and essentially making a mockery of our entire campaign finance system.”
It’s Not Anti-Semitic to Call Out George Soros
Yet, if anyone dares to comment on the fact that Soros funded all these losers who are ruining major American cities through their soft-on-crime policies, they are called anti-Semitic. It seems Soros was born to a non-observant Jewish family and survived the Nazi occupation of Hungary. Okay, he’s Jewish, but one can still criticize his actions; his Jewishness is not the sum of who he is. In fact, it could be argued that his financial status and his leftist philosophy are more an aggregate of the man. And, by the way, it should be noted that Soros worked with the Nazis as an unashamed collaborator during WWII. No one ever seems to mention that.
Alvin Bragg’s War on Trump
Now, let’s discuss Alvin Bragg, another beneficiary of George Soros’ generosity. Bragg made “getting Trump” a centerpiece of his campaign for District Attorney of Manhattan. According to an article in the New York Times, “Mr. Bragg frequently reminded New Yorkers that he had sued Mr. Trump and his administration ‘more than a hundred times’ in a bid to win over voters.” The hatred of the former president is so palpable on the left that they seem to subscribe to Lavrentiy Beria’s adage, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.” Beria was the most ruthless and longest serving secret police chief in Joseph Stalin’s Soviet Union.
Just a few days ago, the Manhattan DA indicted former President Donald J. Trump for a supposed campaign finance violation—ostensibly paying off Stormy Daniels with $130,000 to keep an alleged affair quiet—by falsifying business records. Hello? Has anyone heard of John Edwards, the former Democrat vice presidential candidate in 2004? Edwards was accused of funneling $1 million dollars of donor contributions to his pregnant mistress and was criminally charged with a campaign finance violation. His case went to trial, and he was acquitted.
Democrats Who Did What Trump Did & Skated
And, what about Hillary Clinton? Remember the Steele Dossier? This was used to try to accuse Trump of working with the Russians to get elected president. An investigation by the Federal Election Commission found Mrs. Clinton guilty of violating campaign finance law by misreporting the nearly $1 million paid to former British agent Christopher Steele to find dirt on Trump. Did the Hildebeast get indicted? Was she perp walked, handcuffed, fingerprinted, and photographed? No, you see she is a Democrat. Her 2016 campaign and the DNC were fined $113,000 for the violation. Nothing to see here, folks.
Finally, what about Slick Willy himself? He settled a sexual harassment lawsuit with Paula Jones by paying her $850,000 rather than going to trial and having all the gory details become public. Furthermore, he committed perjury when he went before a grand jury and denied under oath that he had had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky, an intern serving at the White House. According to 18 USC 1621, “Anyone found guilty of the crime [of perjury] will be fined or imprisoned for up to five years.” Did the former president do time? No, instead he lost his law license.
What do John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Clinton have in common? They are all Democrats. All did the same thing Trump is accused of doing, yet none of the three faced the prospect of prison. The 14th amendment to the Constitution states: “...nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” That means every citizen should be treated exactly the same for the same crime, without regard to race, religion, political party, or financial status. But, clearly the last few years have shown us that Democrats get treated one way and conservatives and Christians another way. If we don’t have equal protection under the law, do we actually have a Constitution and rights? I don’t think so.
We Are Now a Banana Republic
We’ve crossed a dangerous line when we begin persecuting our political enemies like the thousand J6 defendants, Pro Life advocates, and Donald Trump. My mother, born in Honduras, was fond of reminding my siblings and me how lucky we were to live in America where elections were free. She would regale us with memories of how Honduran presidents would be forced out of office at the end of a gun in a coup d'etat. With Soros DAs at the helm of major cities doing the bidding of the wealthy magnate intent on destroying America, Trump may not be looking down the barrel of a real gun but rather a metaphorical one. The indictment of Donald J. Trump has ushered out our standing as the shining city on a hill. We are no longer a republic but instead a banana republic. The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, said it well immediately after Alvin Bragg announced Trump’s indictment: “Imagine if this happened to a leading opposition presidential candidate here in El Salvador. Sadly, it’ll be very hard for US Foreign Policy to use arguments such as ‘democracy’ and ‘free and fair elections’ or try to condemn ‘political persecution’ in other countries, from now on.” He is so right; we’ve lost the moral high ground.
The Weaponization of the IRS
Most conservatives remember when Lois Lerner, an IRS unit director during the Obama era, surreptitiously denied tax-exempt status to conservative organizations just because they were not on board with Obama’s policies. Although Lerner escaped any punishment for her duplicitous actions, in October of 2022, the IRS confessed that, “its treatment of [conservative organizations] during the tax-exempt determinations process, including screening their applications based on their names or policy positions, subjecting those applications to heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays, and demanding of some Plaintiffs’ information that TIGTA [U.S. Treasury Inspector General, Tax Administration] determined was unnecessary to the agency’s determination of their tax-exempt status, was wrong.” Great! Nearly a decade later and we finally get a mea culpa.
But, the IRS has learned nothing. On March 10th of this year, Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger testified before The House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. They are two independent (lean left) journalists who published Twitter threads and articles containing “internal emails and other communications between government figures and Twitter executives,” according to the Deseret News. These became known as the Twitter Files. Taibbi asserted that the FBI enforced “censorship by proxy.” He explained, “The Twitter Files are revealing more every day about how the government collects, analyzes, and flags your social media content. Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive, as if it were a subsidiary.” Suspiciously, on the same day of Taibbi’s testimony, an IRS agent made a visit to his home claiming the IRS was rejecting his 2018 and 2021 tax returns due to issues with identity theft. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. In mob speak: Say, you seem like a nice guy. It’d be a shame if you had to deal with audits for the next few years. Maybe you should reconsider speaking out so publicly about the government.
Now you know why Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress wanted $80 billion dollars for 87,000 new IRS agents. The President claimed the agents would be auditing the wealthiest Americans, but it seems quite obvious they will be going after anyone who speaks out about this current administration. Taibbi got a taste of what conservatives have been dealing with since the Obama administration. Thank the good Lord for Kevin McCarthy and the House Republicans who passed a bill on January 9th of this year rescinding $72 billion for the legions of new IRS agents tasked with tormenting conservatives. The bill makes clear that the IRS can only spend new money on customer service and IT improvements (ya think) rather than hiring more agents. Finally a glimmer of hope.
They Are Coming After You
In what can only be described as bat guano crazy the DOJ charged a man for a meme he tweeted prior to the 2016 election. Douglas Mackey (also known as Ricky Vaughn) is a conservative social media influencer. He posted a tongue-in-cheek meme which said, “Avoid the line. Vote from home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925.” Of course nothing happened to a leftist female who posted a meme that said, “Trump supporters, avoid the lines. Text in your vote! Text votes are legit. Or vote tomorrow on Super Wednesday.”
US Attorney Breon Peace said, “Mackey has been found guilty by a jury of his peers of attempting to deprive individuals from exercising their sacred right to vote for the candidate of their choice in the 2016 Presidential Election. Today’s verdict proves that the defendant’s fraudulent actions crossed a line into criminality and flatly rejects his cynical attempt to use the constitutional right of free speech as a shield for his scheme to subvert the ballot box and suppress the vote.” What a joke! The Democrats are the ones who stuff ballot boxes, insist on no signature verification to vote, shut down vote counting when a Republican is winning, and pull out suitcases of clean ballots to be falsely filled in by rogue precinct workers to ensure their candidate wins.
Joel Pollack points out that there is much debate as to whether or not 18 USC 241 conflicts with the First Amendment. The law makes it a crime to “injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person…in the free exercise or enjoyment of the right [to vote].” The original 1909 statute was intended to punish those who would intimidate or threaten voters like the KKK used to do and the New Black Panthers did in 2008. Mackey did not intimidate or threaten anyone, yet he is facing up to ten years in prison. His crime, of course, is that he is a conservative who believed he was afforded the right to free speech. Mackey was convicted, not by a jury of his peers, but by a leftist jury in Brooklyn, NY. Does anyone believe a conservative could get a fair trial in Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York? This is why all the J6 defendants have been found guilty and why Trump won’t get a fair trial. The system is rigged.
Barack Obama’s Dreams Come True
Does it feel like our country has spiraled out of control? Do you know who you can thank for that? I place the blame squarely on Barack Obama. Remember when he said this (just watch the first 7-10 seconds):
I loved our country the way it was. I didn’t need it to be fundamentally transformed into the hellscape he’s helped create. Let’s also remember that Obama said the Bill of Rights were a “charter of negative liberties.” He said this because the Bill of Rights tells the government what they cannot do to Americans. All leftists like Obama want to be able to tell citizens what they can and cannot do; they don’t want restrictions on the government. This is all part of fundamentally transforming America.
Additionally, if anyone thinks Joe Biden is actually in charge of the executive branch, they are seriously deluded. Barack Obama has strategically placed all his minions in cabinet positions. Here they are: Brian Deese, Avril Haines, Alejandro Mayorkas, Denis McDonough, Susan Rice, Cecilia Rouse, Jake Sullivan, Neera Tanden, Tom Vilsack, Janet Yellen, and Antony Blinken. (Ron Klain was also part of the cabinet until recently.) What we are experiencing is Barack Obama’s third term.
Final Thoughts
We are indeed living in perilous times. When the Justice Department is no longer just but instead acts as the militant enforcement arm of the Democrat party, when a wealthy magnate controls the district attorneys of major US cities, when there is no such thing as ‘equal protection under the law,’ when the federal government uses its tax collection agency to intimidate its citizens, when half of the population can no longer exercise their constitutional right to free speech, when a former President of the United States is harassed for years and eventually indicted on “trumped up” charges…we no longer live in a free country. Instead we are on the road to perdition.
Our founding fathers experienced similar injustices from the King of England and his henchmen (the Red Coats), and when they could no longer tolerate the abuses, they declared their independence. Perhaps you haven’t read the Declaration of Independence since high school, but you should read this portion and take it to heart.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. (Bold highlights are mine.)
I am not suggesting we take up arms against the government. What I am suggesting is that our founding fathers did fight a war to secure our freedom. Many of us have taken our freedom for granted, assuming we would always have it. After all, we are the United States of America. But, our freedoms are being whittled away by tyrannical, unjust, so-called leaders. How much will we tolerate? What can we do? Our path to righteousness and freedom includes the following:
We MUST pray for our country. I’ve used this scripture before, but it bears repeating. God tells us: If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
We MUST contact our elected officials to voice our concerns, and let said officials know they won’t be in office long if they fail to act. Here is a website with contact information for elected leaders.
We MUST speak out about the injustices currently taking place in our country. I’m doing my part through my blog. You can start a blog, too. Substack provides wonderful tools for the novice writer. We MUST be brave and talk to our acquaintances on the left. If we can each change one person’s mind before 2024, then perhaps we stand a chance of reclaiming the presidency and putting our country back on a righteous path. The Bible reminds us to, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
All of us living in blue states should seriously consider moving to a red state. I’ve heard it said that our next civil war will be fought without bullets. Instead, it will be fought with our feet as we make it known we will not tolerate leftist, freedom-squelching policies like those put forth in blue states.
I’m sure there are more actions you can take to help save our country, but this is a good start. In 1824, the Pennsylvania Court made a declaration which read: “No free government now exists in the world, unless where Christianity is acknowledged, and is the religion of the country.” It’s time to take back our country from the evil that currently pervades it, especially regarding our government
