For some, Thanksgiving is a time for family and great food. Images of a perfectly roasted turkey, the smell of pumpkin pie, and the blaring of referee calls coming from the television announcing the back and forth of a football game are all one needs to get in the mood for our very American holiday. How many of us, I wonder, are truly thankful for our blessings? For, despite the turmoil in our country today, we still have so much for which to be grateful.
I’d like to propose a new way of looking at thankfulness for this season. Initially, my thoughts might shock some of you, but stick with me. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Thankful for the Biden Presidency
Let’s give thanks to God for the imposter president who now presides over our country. Joe Biden has been the biggest calamity as President our country has ever seen. Even Jimmy Carter comes in a distant second as a disastrous President. So, how can I give thanks for this fool sitting at the helm of our great nation?
Easy. Joe Biden’s incompetence is in full view every time he opens his mouth to speak. He has beclowned himself so often, we are becoming the laughingstock of the world. Here’s a good example:
Sadly, the example also shows the idiocy of the second in command, Kamala Harris. Once again, you must be asking yourself why this is something for which to be thankful. From loudly passing wind in front of the Dutchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, to claiming his house was burned down with his wife inside, to discussing the famous baseball player Satchell Paige, calling him a “great Negro,” the hits keep coming.
Biden’s obvious senility has shown Americans he is not really in charge. He is merely a puppet with Barack Obama and Ron Klain acting as puppet masters in the background. If you question that, take a look at just one moment he said the quiet part out loud.
The President of the United States is instructed on who to call on in press briefings? He’s supposed to be the most powerful man in the world, yet someone is telling him either to walk away after remarks or he’s given a list of previously agreed upon reporters asking approved questions. This is head-scratching unless you understand he’s not running the show.
The man who said he was a moderate and would restore our country to its “former glory” has failed miserably and in less than a year. NPR reports that inflation is surging to its highest rate since 1990. Gas prices are out of control thanks to Biden’s closing of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Additionally, Biden’s open border policy has been a monumental catastrophe, with CNN reporting that nearly 2 million illegal immigrants will have crossed the border by the end of this year. Moreover, Slow Joe’s ineptitude during the Afghanistan withdrawal resulted in the deaths of thirteen brave American soldiers and has put on display American weakness for our enemies to exploit. And finally, rather than quell racial tensions, Joe Biden has instead inflamed the issue, often calling those with whom he disagrees White supremacists.
A Stark Difference
All of these issues have shown the American public the stark difference between the true leadership and steady hand of Donald J. Trump, and the weak, pathetic individual now occupying the White House. President Trump strengthened our judiciary and returned it to one based solely on the Constitution of the United States by appointing two Supreme Court Justices, 53 federal appellate judges, and 146 District Court justices. He presided over historic tax cuts and deregulations which positively impacted the economy for everyone. In fact, “unemployment among African-Americans and Hispanics was the lowest it has ever been in history,” according to a report by Wayne Gruden writing in Townhall.
In addition, President Trump moved the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, something many other presidents promised to do, but never made good on. And, he negotiated an historic agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Moreover, Trump quelled the hordes of illegal immigrants attempting to cross the southern border by working with the Mexican President to keep illegals in Mexico until their cases for asylum could be heard. Further, Donald Trump made us once again energy independent by approving the Keystone XL Pipeline, the Dakota Access Pipeline, and oil production in ANWR.
Additionally, President Trump took the gloves off the US military which allowed them to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria. And, not to be outdone by his own success, Donald J. Trump strenuously “persuaded” Europeans to pay more for NATO, putting the American taxpayer ahead of European interests. Finally, although there are so many other things the 45th President of the United States did for America during his short tenure, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that he reformed the Department of Veteran Affairs (once again, something previous Presidents had promised to do but never did) and reduced prescription drug prices. Donald J. Trump actually made America great again, as he promised he would.
Yes, Donald Trump tweeted incessantly and often unnecessarily so. The tweets were mean. Boo-freaking-hoo! He got things done for the American people, and allies as well as enemies of our nation respected us. Thanks to Joe Biden’s incompetence, the American people are awake. So, indeed, I am very thankful for Joe Biden’s fake presidency.
Thankful for COVID
I am saddened by the number of people who have lost their lives to COVID, often unfortunately because of the malfeasance of government officials who chose to put COVID patients into nursing homes ensuring large numbers of deaths of our weakest population, the elderly. But, the malpractice didn’t end there. The social media giants, the legacy media, corporations, and big pharma along with Dr. Anthony Fauci conspired to keep treatments for COVID away from the American public. Ask yourself who is making money off the Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer shots. Early treatments like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin--which, by the way, are phenomenally cheap to purchase and have been around for many years--were maligned under an aggressive propaganda campaign meant to scare consumers into taking the so-called vaccines. These “vaccines” we’re now seeing are not effective at all. If they were, why must people continue to get boosters, social distance, and wear ineffective masks? Why must those who are “vaccinated” fear those who are not--unless the shots do not work.
The American public under Joe Biden has been red-pilled. They are now seeing reality as they have never before seen it. For the uninitiated, check out the film clip from The Matrix to understand red-pilling.
The American public has awakened to the real ruse of the COVID tyrants, and interestingly these potentates are all Democrats. Blue states suffer under intolerable COVID restrictions under the guise of protection for citizens, while their political overlords shun their own restrictions because the rules are only for the little people, not for them. Think Nancy Pelosi getting her hair done when salons were closed in California. Think Gavin Newsome going maskless at the posh French Laundry. Think Dr. Anthony Fauci just recently going maskless at Cafe Milano in Washington D.C. while attending a book party. The list of these hypocritical bureaucrats is endless.
Americans now understand Joe Biden’s Democrat party is not the party of the people, but instead the party of special interests, corporate interests, and whacko environmental interests determined to run every aspect of American life tyrannically. COVID restrictions are simply the precursor to more dictatorial restrictions the left plans to pursue to “save the planet.”
Hence, undeniably I am thankful for COVID and the awakening of the American public.
Oh, and as an aside. I just recently had COVID myself. I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis for nearly thirty years and have been on immunosuppressants for decades to slow the disease progression. When I got COVID, my primary care physician immediately gave me four monoclonal antibody shots in my stomach and prescribed a ten day dose of steroids. I never had trouble breathing and never went to the hospital. Instead, I felt like I had a bad case of the flu. I am now non-contagious, feel like I have a bit of a head cold, and have lost some of my taste. I am grateful that I got the disease. You see, I now have more and better antibodies than anything found in an injection rushed through FDA approval, and these antibodies were given to me by my creator, not by a government entity or pharmaceutical agency/investors enriching themselves from this “plandemic.”
Thankful for My Brother
I hope you will allow me a moment to mention something personal. Nearly 58 years ago, my brother came into my life. I was a seven-year-old tomboy with a birthday in December. My petite mother was bursting at the seams ready to give birth at any moment. I prayed for a brother, as I already had three sisters and found their doll playing and dressing up irritating.
On December 2, 1963 my nearly ten pound brother, Jimmy, was born. I was elated. I laid claim to him early on helping my mother change his diapers and feed him. And, even though he was huge, I carried him around like my own bundle of joy. We were as close as siblings seven years apart could be.
But, as time passes and lives move on making new families and connections, my brother and I only spoke occasionally each year. I would call or text him to check in, but we didn’t see much of each other. I wish we had. I wish I had taken more time to connect with him.
You see, on November 5th at 7:04 pm my baby brother died of a massive heart attack. I couldn’t comprehend it. He didn’t smoke or drink and was the picture of health. He believed in caring for himself through vitamins and cleaning living. He didn’t believe in doctors. I feel certain he would still be with us if he had availed himself of medical treatment for what must have been high blood pressure.
Even as I write this, I am tearing up. He was a wonderful brother to me and a terrific father to his two young adult daughters. He leaves a massive hole in our lives. This Thanksgiving give thanks for your family members, even those who are irritating. Stay in touch more often. No one knows when God will call them home to be with Him.
A Final Note
To put a final stroke on this post, when Joe Biden was installed as President I was depressed. I felt the Democrats clearly cheated and now we would have to endure his presidency, which I felt certain was going to destroy everything about this country I love. When COVID hit, I again felt crestfallen, not just by the number of deaths, but by the tyranny of the left and the destruction of personal rights. And, when my brother passed away, I was inconsolable wondering at the reason. As I prayed, God gave me this revelation from Isaiah 55: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. . . . As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” God commands us to “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” This Thanksgiving I am trusting God to take care of our beloved country and my family. I hope you will, too.
